"Seek better sites"
Happy to see they started a rewards program some time ago and decided to buy a VERY expensive set of wheels (353 NSWs). I wish I would have known about all the hoops regarding their dumb rewards. If it’s on sale, you get nothing. Most sites will offer a fraction of rewards, if not full rewards, for sale items. This is not the case for Competitive Cyclist. If it’s on sale, no matter how small of sale, no points will be coming your way… except a designated “gearhead” if you go to summit level. The biggest assistance they add is having them write up more orders for you (which benefits them more than you). I can write up an order, that’s how I got to “SUMMIT” level. I don’t need assistance with that. In addition, the rewards post 30 days later. To add to that, the rewards evaporate after 90 days. Do yourself a favor and purchase through BikeTiresDirect. I am kicking myself for not reading the finer print. I gave them my money, it won’t happen again. Most sites explicitly state the rewards you will receive.

"good deal on helmet, crappy shipping"
Helmet arrived on scheduled day after many conflicting updates. Very poor free shipping methods used makes delivery day a toss-up. Customer service was fine and prompt.

"damaged products no service"
lack or service , product (bike) arrived really damaged , no response at all , plus they lost the package for 3 weeks, wont buy anything again

"Don't purchase from Competitive Cyclist if overseas"
I don't recommend using them if you are overseas. I received a broken bike pump and had to pay out of pocket to return. It was almost as much as the bike pump itself. They did send a new one. However, I didn't have much of choice to return the broken one or I else I would be charged a second time.

Replying to Competitive Cyclist: Thank you for the note. I do understand the expensive overseas fees. However, I worked with both the Customer Service and Warranty departments and at the end of the day, I was going to be charged full price if I did not return the broken pump.

They suck!!! They use Lasership for deliveries you never get your expensive gear. NEVER AGAIN.

"I purchased two items worth 125 dollars…"
I purchased two items worth 125 dollars and it was faulty, and I returned it. It said the item should be refunded after 3-5 business day after a confirmation email, and it's been 4 weeks and their customer support is completely none existent.

"Be aware!"
Be aware!
The item arrived with a missing part.After talking to their customer service they admitted their mistake but they were saying it was just a misunderstanding which is a sneaky way to downplay their fault
.There wasn’t any real help offered neither!

"I wanted to give fewer stars"
I wanted to give fewer stars. They are terrible and the customer service is even worst! My order took for ever and they gave me the wrong shipping numbers. When I contacted them they gave me one of the numbers correctly but not the two others (bikes come in three boxes). When I got my order they shipped two left knee pads... its over two weeks trying to resolve this.

"Disappointed"
Disappointed. I've been a customer of Competitive Cyclist for a long time. I participated in a Strava challenge that was promoted by Competitive Cyclist. Ride 13 hours before 10/31/21 and get a promo code for 20% off an "eligible" full price item. I went to website and tried to order a Feedback Torque Wrench. Would not apply my coupon, but at the same time, the website said my coupon had already been applied (when I tried a second time). Turns out the Feedback torque wrench is not an eligible item. Nailed by the fine print. Why is it not an eligible item? And why does the website say my coupon has been applied already when it hasn't? Very frustrating that if I now want to use the coupon, I have to call to get it applied. Aargh.

"After spending approximately $12k and…"
After spending approximately $12k and very happy initially with my purchase. I soon found out that they are only concerned about a sale. I had a saddle right at the yr mark but this one I recently put on my ride. It separated at the joint and ultimately snapped. I tried to work with the shop but told I could get a discount on a new saddle. Knowing Selle and coming from the industry in the past, they would of exchanged it. They are that good of a company. These guys could care less. Don’t spend your money here. They only want to take it.

"Incompetent Cyclist"
I am writing this while still on hold....again. I placed an order hours ago and also sent an email to 'sales' to make sure this is not shipped usps. I do not have usps home delivery. I then phoned, talked to an actual person and explained the same. This person verified it would ship UPS. Later the same day I now have a usps tracking number!

I have now spoken with 2 individuals, spent much time on hold, whom cannot solve this issue in a timely manner. I will definitely shop elsewhere with a reputable seller. They get 1 star for doing so well at doing so bad.

"False Advertising, Bad Sales Support"
This site highlights promo codes and discounts but makes them impossible to redeem. The terms do not state specific exclusions but when you attempt to make a purchase the code never works. Their sales support, which you then have to contact, is terrible. There are better places to buy - don't waste your time.

"Dimpled Hakka Frame and zero responsibility taken"
We bought two Ibis Hakka frames from Competitive Cyclist. One of the frames had multiple places that had dimples and bumps, some areas as big as 2.5 inches. They won't take responsibility for sending out a frame that should never have gotten through quality control. They actually want me to pay the return shipping...and that's after I already paid to have it shipped to me.

They may be great for pedals and bar tape but don't buy your pricier gear here. Their dedicated service staff are anything but...

"Been doing business with them for a…"
Been doing business with them for a while and things have slowly gotten worse. My order was held up by a change on my credit card which should have been caught at the time of the order. So I get a email informing me my card was declined. So instead of calling me they just gave one of my items to another customer. So I call right away to fix the problem and the person said it went through. So I’m waiting for a confirmation email which I never received. so I call and give my card info again and asked for a confirmation email and still none. Then I’m informed that the item they gave to another is out of stock. And now I’m still put waiting for a shipping confirmation. Ordered Monday fixed Tuesday and was told Tuesday I would get next day shipping and it’s now Friday afternoon and still nothing.
